Last friday me, Jayne, and her sister in-laws ran a 10 K in Salt Lake for the 24th of July. It was really fun and I finished it about 7 minutes faster than I was shooting for. That could have been because half of the race was downhill... but that is besides the point!

Is it obvious which one is my sister?

It was so fun running with Jayne while she was here. She is one of the ONLY people I can run with. We have about the same pace and we both listen to music and understand that we don't need to talk, just enough to push eachother to keep going. Its the second race we have done together and we have both made alot of progress in the past few months. Hopefully our next race together will be the goofy half marathon in Disney World... we can dream big, right?

Crooks

Jayne and her kids drove out to Idaho a few weeks ago. Thats right, they drove all the way from Missouri, to Idaho, just Jayne and her five kids. Her hubby had to stay behind and study for medical boards. But she did it and I'm sooo glad she did. I love spending time with her and her family. I didn't take nearly enough pictures while they were here, but one day we went up to Heise and did a little hike and had a cook out, and luckily I did have my camera.

Crook Clan

This picture was taken a few days later at the zoo. A kangaroo got loose so Cory and Landon played with it. That is the only decent picture I got that day... and I don't even want to attempt to figure out how to flip this picture!

Date Night

A few weeks ago Cory took me on a wonderful date. We went up to the mountains and cooked hot dogs, brautworst (which I didn't think I would like, but LOVED), roasted marshmellows, and watched a movie. He even got all fancy on me and brought sparkling cidar. I guess his mom played a big part in helping him plan... but either way I had a great time.

Long time gone

I do realize that the 4th of July was almost a month ago, but I've become tired of having a blog so I'm just now posting about it. Everyone has gone on and on about how the 4th is the best Holiday of the year, and they are right. Its the highlight of summer. Cory and I had a great day. We went to the parade, boating, hung out with Ben and Jena, and went to the fireworks. Here are just a few pictures. Enjoy! At the paradeStarting from the dock (sissy). I just love his AWESOME sense of style...

And the fireworks!

I tried uploading a short video of Cory doing some kind of flip on his wake board, but I couldn't get it onto my blog. Suggestions?

My Competition

The Beck familyhas a dog named Sage. Sage never lets me have Cory to myself. The following pictures are not staged, I really did just happen to have my camera sitting right by me!

I can't even hold his hand without interferance! I really like this dog, but I did not think I was going to have this much competition to deal with. This next picture was taken in the winter time when we were driving home from Logan. Sage was supposed to be in the back seat....

Its just unfortunate that Sage gets to live with Cory... it makes it lots harder for me, but I won't give up! Someday he will have to choose between us...

Disclaimer!

Mom-
I don't swear. Sometimes I type swear words, but I would never say them out loud. So don't worry.

AND... I know you can somehow make it so your blog is "private" so people your not "friends" with can't read it, and I know my previous post may have scared a few of you naive bloggers that didn't know random people read your blog, but please, please don't make yours private. It would greatly disappoint me. What else would I do at 11 p.m? And honestly, who makes a blog, or should I say BRAG spot, and doesn't actually want people to read it?

I am NOT a blog stalker

EVERYONE is a blog stalker! If your reading my blog right now, your a blog stalker. You stalk your friends, of course, then you stalk people who your not friends with, but you know them, and they know you. THEN, you stalk those that you know OF, but don't really know, and then you stalk those that you have never even heard, but your bored and they post pictures.
However, there is that one un-spoken rule to blog stalking. You never admitt that you stalk someone that your not really good friends with. example?
You run into to someone at the grocery store. They fall into the "you know them, they know you, but your not friends" category.

they say "hi! how are you? long time no see."
you say "great, how are you?"
they say"great, did you hear I got married last year!"
you say "...(I knew that, it was July 12 to be exact. you had 4 bridesmaids, and their dresses looked terrible)... No way congrats! I had no idea."
they say "Yeah I'm so happy. I have a blog you should check it out, then we could keep in touch better!"
you say "... (no shit you have a blog, I have been reading it faithfully for the past year)... I didn't know you had a blog! You will have to give me the address, I bet its fun to read!"

Case in point. For some reason, it's fun knowing about other's lives. Creepy, yes, but we all do it, so that makes it ok right?
